CottonInfo

CottonInfo is the Australian cotton industry’s joint extension program.

The initiative connects growers, consultants and agronomists with research, the latest news and information, and events that help achieve best practice.

History

CottonInfo was formed in 2012 by the three joint venture parties – Cotton Australia, the Cotton Research and Development Corporation and Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd – with the agreement signed at the Australian Cotton Conference.

Objectives

CottonInfo aims to achieve three objectives: improve industry practice, improve research and development communication, and improve industry responsiveness.

The CottonInfo team specialises in a number of areas: nutrition, soil health, water management, pesticide use efficiency, energy use, carbon and climate, biosecurity, disease and insect management, natural resource management, stewardship and weed control.

Our team

The CottonInfo team consists of regional extension officers (on-ground support based in cotton growing valleys), technical leads (specialising in specific research areas and the point of contact for the wider cotton research community), and myBMP experts (who can help you sign up for, and participate in, the cotton industry’s best management practice program).
