Growers encouraged to review WHS procedures during National Farm Safety Week

Growers should follow the industry's myBMP Work Health and Safety module.

This week is National Farm Safety Week, and Cotton Australia encourages all growers to conduct a review of their Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and protocols on-farm.

The Australian cotton industry is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our people is maintained, because our people are our industry’s greatest asset.

A great place to start is reviewing Australian cotton’s best practices program, myBMP, which has a dedicated WHS module.

There are 33 best management practices standards covering WHS in the myBMP program. In 2019, 68% of surveyed growers said they had improved workplace health and safety as a result of these modules.
